Hello there Skeletor

Nope. It's not this guy. This was a doodle from class the other night.

Which lead to this. For some reason I drew a skull head character.

Which in turn lead to this interpretation of what was forming in my mind's eye. One of my students thought it was a new version of Skeletor who is He-Man's prime adversary. So why not?

I have to ask you something. Recently This photos from Vicarious Vision studios appeared on the internet http://i45.tinypic.com/xq9g7.jpg. If you look closer you can see this http://i47.tinypic.com/sutw69.png. What do you think about it? Did you draw it?

  2. That's interesting. It looks like I drew it but I didn't. The image of Crash shows an influence from the original version of the character. Maybe they're going a little retro with him. Thanks for posting this Gabriele.

You're welcome, all fans are wandering what is this picture. I wasn't sure that you draw it because the body seems to be your style but those big arms aren't something from your style. This picure was poster in November 2012 so we think that maybe they are working on a new game, or maybe it's only a fan art made by someone at VV. However thank to you for your answer, now we know for sure that you didn't draw it.

  4. The reason it looks like I drew it is cuz there are stylistic subtleties in this version of Crash that only appear on the recent drawings I've been doing of him since starting this blog. I noticed it right away.

That's a good sign. It means that artists at game developing companies are seeing the new work that's posted here and it's influencing the evolution of Crash. The difference in the arms and legs means that there's still experimentation going on which is healthy. That's the great thing about Crash. There's lots of lateral movement in the way he looks. The design and even the nature of the character lends itself to different interpretations.

    Crash Bandicoot is alive!
