Crash Bandicoot - Baby T concept art - Part 2

I'm sure these drawings are already online but might as well follow up since I already posted the first part of this series of sketches a few days ago. Dated February 19 1998 here's Crash and his pet dinosaur Baby T in exploratory poses from the development of Crash 3. These are black and white photocopies I made for my records while at Naughty Dog the day I drew them. Thus the cutoff  of some of the composition below. Hope the Crash fans here can live with it.

The original ones are here if you want : http://crashland.elynx.fr/ressourcebonus/siteofficiel/c3-character.htm ;)

I love Crash design in those concepts, it looks different from your other drawings, do you changed him to make him look morelike his videogame counterpart?

  2. Thanks for the link Gabriele. Gets me caught up a little more with what's online and what isn't.

At this point in the development of Crash I was a lot more comfortable drawing the character. I didn't have people looking over my shoulder so to speak as before. I had more freedom to draw him the way I felt he should be drawn and I could modify the design to make him more appealing.

  3. Did you do any of the box arts, posters or promotional images?

  4. Just concept art for the cover of the original game and a t-shirt design concept. If I had a chance to create promotional and poster art it would've been a lot better than what ND and Universal was coming out with back then.

  5. Would you happen to know why Crash on the rocket was used in the Crash launch poster as well as on the PAL Disc of Crash 2?

  7. Wish I was older so I could of taken advantage of getting rare Crash merchandise when it was cheaper. Such as the Resaurus Action Figures, I got a few for my 8th birthday and they were like £15/£20 and now they are anything from £60-£200! But I must they do look very cool especially the Tiny Tiger figure!

That site was my Crash Bible back when it was in the official ND site. They had to remove it some time ago for some reason, maybe because they didn't had control over Crash anymore.
Ehi Charles, do you played the games you worked on? Or even other games of the series you didn't worked on? And what is your favourite?
