Hi everyone. I'm traveling about for the next few days and won't be posting art during this time. But I will be checking in to follow up on comments should they come in. Hope you're having fun and as always thanks for following my blog. We'll be back to sharing creativity soon.

Hey Charles, have fun on your trip and enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteAlso Charles, for the past few days. I've dug deep into ND's website with the use of the WayBack Machine. It's a website where you can look around various websites from long ago.
From there, I've stumbled upon ND's very old site that dates back to late 1996/early 1997. Have a look around:

Also, I've came across this oldie but goodie. It's a Christmas Card from Naughty Dog in the year of 1996. Check it out:

Did you draw this piece of art? From the looks of it, it strongly resembles your art!
As said before, enjoy your trip Charles!
I remember ND's site when it looked that way. That's the first time I saw the Christmas card art. Not sure who did it as it wasn't me. Interesting none the less. Thanks for the links Pat.
ReplyDeleteHello Charles! I'm a huge fan of everything you've done so far. You don't have to publish this comment, it's unrelated to anything . . .
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to bring to your attention that someone on DeviantART is laying claims to Spyro?

I love all of your work and I think Spyro looks amazing. The way they're saying all this stuff as if everything was them kind of annoys me, because it's clearly not you. I just figured you should know this, and I hope you have a really great trip!!
Thank you!
Hello Hira le Sheep. Thanks for your comments and for checking in.
ReplyDeleteI decided to publish what you wrote so I can say this for the record. I have no idea what this person is talking about at the DeviantArt link. Spyro started out as "Project Pete" in January 1997 at Insomniac. He was named later after I created the initial development art. I didn't look at anything for reference. The character and all other characters I created for the game were completely original as far as my involvement is concerned. He went through several versions until the final design was achieved. There was nothing attached to Spyro at all. He was an original creation and not copied or lifted or borrowed from anything. I hope this helps clear things up. Thanks again for letting me know about this. I wouldn't take what this person is saying too seriously. When it comes to Insomniac's Spyro it's not true. Nobody on the outside had anything to do with it. End of story.
I'm missing you posting your art :(
