There's a local painting group that meets at my school a couple times a month. When they come in I usually paint with them. This is what I'll be working on. A portrait of Spyro the Dragon. The sketch is graphite on heavy weight illustration board. The kind that's used for painting backgrounds in animation production. Measures 11 x 8.5 inches (28 x 21.6 centimeters). I'll be paiting this in acrylics. We'll see how it turns out.
Spyro looks mad that you drawn him.
ReplyDeleteHe's a determined little dragon.
ReplyDeleteHe looks so serious and cute at the same time, I love it
ReplyDeleteI just noticed the spikes in his head is supposed to be a fin! Also great Spyro as always, it's always good to see new art from you, I can't wait to see this picture fully painted.
ReplyDeleteThanks Araceli. PS ... I haven't forgotten about your character. I still intend on drawing her.
ReplyDeleteUnknown ... You're right about the fin. I looked at the original drawings I did of Spyro and also how he's portrayed in the games. I'm going to modify the design as I progress with the painting. Thanks for pointing that out and also for your comments.
You're welcome! Oh don't worry!!! I will be very patient, it is a big honor for me and I will wait all the necessary time!
DeleteNice! So I will see what you do with him in future, it is always great to seeing the brave and little dragon ♡
It is a pleasure. I'm trying to be more active on blogger so I could continue looking at your works and also this inspires to continue with my blog too (I had it very abandoned lately hehe)
Sorry about the "Unknown" in the username, I don't know if you remember but I'm Gabriele, I followed your blog for quite some time now. Recently I changed my Google account and that messed up my name in here apparently, sorry :P
ReplyDeleteGabriele! Well now that you're "Geb" I know who are. Thanks for checking in.
ReplyDeleteI've done a little work on this. Mostly getting some basic colors blocked in.
ReplyDeleteAraceli I have a drawing of your character sketched out in blue pencil.
