It is my traditional to create a Christmas greeting for all the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon fans. You are great fans and I am appreciative of the love you have for these characters. So ... GREAT ART! And happy new year, Charles. Your art is always great You know what? I always thought that Crash Bandicoot was such an unique character. Your design is truly amazing. I hink that nobody is truly like him. His goofy design, his long tongue, his wacky eyes and expressive face, that long muzzle, those funny cartoonish proportions, those cool ass gloves. I feel like THERE'S no character that is truly as charismatic and goofy as him. The only characters that are close to him could be Stimpy from the Ren and Stimpy Show and Taz.
I surely hope you will draw him with a small tail someday. You know, maybe a small rat-like tail like Ren Hoek, or one really thin like that of Mickey Mouse! I always headcanon that he hides his tail in his pants.. maybe like Goofy.
Thank you 90s. I did draw crash with a tail at the beginning when I was first designing him but they opted for no tail on the character. I will try again at some future date and see how it turns out.
In the OG naughty dog games, did the guys behind the first three Crash games basically confirm Crash has no tail, or is the theory that he tucks it in his pants valid as an excuse? Especially considering Tawna has a bushy tail. The only reason why he didn't have a tail was due to PS1 limitations.. So yeah he obviously must have one hidden?
Sorry for getting "acoustic" on this small detail, but i have been wondering this for a lot of years lol. Btw i always love your art..
