Spyro the Dragon Portrait Time Lapse Video

Hello there! I created this in 2019. It's a portrait of Spyro the Dragon painted in acrylics while jamming at my school. At the time I posted this on my blog. After each phase I scanned the image and have recently edited the pictures in a time lapse video with music. It's interesting to see the metamorphosis starting with the pencil sketch on to the final work. The video is a minute long. Click on the image to watch it on YouTube. Thank you and I hope you enjoy it.

Did you design the lava lizards & cavemen in Spyro 2?

I don't think so. I did very little work on Spyro 2 at the very beginning. Just some variations on Spyro and maybe some dragon crystal stuff.

Hello Zembillas! I’ve searched for ways to contact you, and this is the only way I’ve found so apologies if there is a better place for this. I’d like to sincerely thank you, because Spyro the dragon was and still is my favorite video game of all time, and helped me so much during my difficult childhood. If it weren’t for your amazing and unique artwork and character design, I never would have found it as charming as I did. Your art inspired me as a young child to start drawing, and now I draw professionally, dragons mostly. Your work means so much to me and it makes me very happy to see your art still. I hope you are doing amazing, and thank you so much for everything.

Sincerely, Anwynn
