Your drawings are always a blessing for my eyes. And i love how kind you are, and how you are always ready to reply to some questions. I really thank you for creating my childhood, my life would have not been the same without our great bandicoot! And your design of Crash Bandicoot is the most iconic, and it's always fun to redraw him in that cartoonish Looney Tunes style! I really love your work. Do you think that working at Naughty Dog was fun? Or was it exhausting sometimes?
Oh, and sorry if i keep asking that, but i hope that my theory is correct: Crash Bandicoot tucks his tail into his pants, that's why we don't see it. I know that it's not visible in the old PS1 games due to limitations, but i think that he obviously has it, but it's tucked into his pants, idk if somebody at Naughty Dog ever said something about it. Hmm.. i would be a little sad if he can't wag his little rodent tail haha. And regarding his lack of neck.. That is surely funny.
Thank you 90s. Naughty Dog was always fun to work with. It's a shame they ruined our professional relationship. When I draw Crash I think about his expressions and his posing. Not about whether or not he has a tail. If he did have a tail and tucked it he would have an awkward bulge in the back of his pants. Maybe I'll draw him with a tail in your honor someday. :)
You're welcome! And yeah, i think his tail enough would be small enough that it would fit into his pants. The only reason why he doesn't have one in the PS1 era was due to ps1 limitations hahaha. If you are gonna draw him with his tail out, i don't think there would be a significant change, just a tiny one. What do you think about it? Tawna and the Trophy Girls had tails, so i think it's obvious that Crash would have one, maybe small. he would have a small hole in his pants for it to fit in..
I am going to ask you another question, since i do consider myself an artist and i am passionate about drawing, though i'm still improving: Do you think drawing cartoon animals is wayy more fun than drawing human characters? Because with animals, you don't really care about proportions, even if you mess up, it's fun to draw them with unrealistic ones. Crash himself doesn't even have a neck. Also human faces can be complex to draw and to animate. No wonder why Walt Disney drew Mickey, Donald, Goofy, they are just goofy funny animals and wayy more fun to draw!
And one more question: i don't know if you know anything about it, but i assume it's obvious that Tawna, and the Trophy Girls were mutated just like our bandicoot, right? Cus they appeared out of nowhere..
